Yeah you can, but the lotion and perfume must be 3oz or less (each) and you have to put them in a quart sized, clear, ziptop bag. You can bring the entire thing of deodorant, but it has to be the solid kind. If your going to bring the aerosal or gel kind, you can only bring up to 3oz of it. (this is only for carry on)

I live in a city and recently sold my car. There is an upcoming gun show in the area and Im interested in purchasing a gun for my house. Im aware of gun transport laws as they pertain to personal vehicles, but Im wondering if I can transport a weapon in a case on public transportation, assuming the case is locked and there is no ammunition.

No you cant travel to the UAE not because your father has an absconding case but rather due to the fact that you are under his sponsorship and your residence visa has to cancelled NOT by anybody else but by the person who sponsored it.
In your case, it's your father.
Different sponsors - be indivisual or companies, can apply for your visa - BUT WONT BE ACCEPTED by the Authoriy as in their records - you are still in their list and still a resident of Dubai. Hence, how can a visa be issued for a person who- in essence is already having a visa.

I recently got married and filed an application to change my name on the green card from my maiden name to my married name. I have to travel to the Bahamas in 3 months, and I was wondering if there is anything I need to worry about. My Phillippines issued passport and my current green card still have my maiden names on them, and I have left and entered the US with no problem before. I called USCIS 5 times and each time I got a different answer.
2 of them said that I SHOULD have given up my green card when I got my fingerprints and picture taken. 2 said that I dont have to do this. The last one said that I am no longer the person I claim to be on my passport so I should change that. One told me to call customs, which I did, and I was told that as long as my passport and green card match Im fine. Those documents are sufficient for travel.
If you do not have possession of your Green Card, you can sometimes (not always) get an I-551 stamp in your passport at your District Office to use as proof of status. Make an Infopass appointment from uscis.gov
Even after you change your name on your Green Card, note that your plane tickets MUST be in the name on your passport. If you have not changed your passport by that time, you will also need to carry a copy of your marriage certificate to show the name discrepancy between passport and GC.

Arubians are not usually a criminalistic community, with less that 1 percent of all inmates being Arubians. It can happen anywhere, and this is just one of the few things to ever happen in Aruba. Someone gets killed every 3 minutes in the US but we are used to it, so it doesn't get as much pub. Go to Aruba, enjoy yourself, its a wonderful country with great people. You will have fun.

The chances of a pebble-sized meteor hitting a station are pretty small, although micropunctures (and radiation for that matter) are the biggest danger. You can do a Survival Needs section and put all the things you would need to travel to Pluto or to be on Pluto.
You can give information on who discovered Pluto.
You can also mention who discovered it wasn't a planet and when etc.
Also, in Pulisher in Microsoft Office you can choose a Brochure Template, which will give you a good start.

The above links contain the best pictures we have thus far of Pluto since it is so small and far away, but there will be better pictures in 2015 when New Horizons passes through the Pluto system. On the mission page on the left side, there is a link to some interesting facts (P-K bits, short for Pluto and Kuiper Belt) that you might be able to use. I don't know how highly publicized this mission was, since it was launched before Pluto lost its planethood, but it has almost reached the orbit of Saturn, currently.

Then I would contact the YMCA, and the YWCA and see if they have any good clubs and swimming sites on Pluto.
Next, contact Kentucky Fried Chicken's Main Office in your area and see how many Fried Chicken Stores and Carry Out Places they have on Pluto.
Depending upon where you live, contact your State Game and Fish Commission and ask them about Fishing Permits on Pluto, cost, type required, etc.
I think that sounds like a fun project. try typing pluto in the search engine and check out all the sites it lists. i'm sure you'll find all the information you need and then some.

Truth be told, this is going to be literally impossible. We know absolutely nothing about Pluto's physical characteristics. We have no technology good enough yet to view or take pictures of Pluto. The best our technology can do is identify its location as well as its color. If you can, switch planets (I would recommend Mars for this particular project.). I really did my best to find anything I could for you, but all I found was Wikipedia and a couple bad pictures.
BY THE WAY, for everyone saying ';omg n00b plutos not plan3t!!!11';, It is a DWARF PLANET. The two recently discovered planets are ALSO dwarf planets.

My i-94 is expire but our case is still in process can i travel in us?
Not legally. You are now in violation of your visa. You are subject to being put on the overstay list and banned from re-entering the U.S. in the future. If the date on the I-94 could be ignored, why would they even give you a date by which you are supposed to leave?

As long as you have not been convicted, you do not have a criminal record. The only thing you need to be sure of, is that the country in which you are charged has not put any travel restrictions on you as part of any bail (or other legal) requirements.

First of all, why. If it is only for a vacation. What's the harm? It might even be fun for the kids. If you are afraid that they're not coming back then I can see your problem. Call your attorney and ask for an emergency temporary custody order. That will at least get custody established for a short period of time at least until a more permanent order can be put in place. But seriously if it is only for a vacation and they are going to return, show some good faith and let them go.

Need excellent lawyer for workers-comp case. Live in FL case in NY. Have all info needed, can travel some?
THE best way to find a lawyer is by word of mouth. Ask your: family, friends, coworkers, anyone you might know in the same situation, etc.

well if you are traveling and wanted to protect an egg, you wouldnt use a soft case would you? to protect something...i think one would use a hard case so that the case would take the impact and the item inside wouldnt be harmed.

IMHO, go with a hard case, as crushing and bending are the forces you are attempting to avert and a hard case does best. If I was in the market, I think I'd go with the Trav-a-lite. It's a travel case, so you don't need a separate case and bag. The price is right too, use the link below. I'd go with the model 12 or 14.

Yes, in that morality (and it's cultural sibling, ethics) are a human invention. That cultural invention allows humans to share ';protocols'; and shared means of transactions. And that same invention also stipulates the violations of protocol and transaction, and the penalties for those violations.
One might expect that as cultures generate more wealth (stuff to exchange like wheat, mates, labor, skills, property, etc), the more elaborate will be the moral codes associated with that culture. And in fact, that is what the evidence shows. As cultures become larger, they develop ever more extensive legal codes (which are just the formal way of expressing moral codes). Primitive cultures have fairly simple, if stringent codes. Feudal societies have a bit more. And nation-states have more still. The richer you are, the more morality (at least in terms of quantity) you can afford. As for moral quality, that may be a different issue-- not sure. Although I do suspect that quality of moral sentiment is something the rich tend to enjoy more often than the less fortunate.

Yes, in that morality (and it's cultural sibling, ethics) are a human invention. That cultural invention allows humans to share ';protocols'; and shared means of transactions. And that same invention also stipulates the violations of protocol and transaction, and the penalties for those violations.
One might expect that as cultures generate more wealth (stuff to exchange like wheat, mates, labor, skills, property, etc), the more elaborate will be the moral codes associated with that culture. And in fact, that is what the evidence shows. As cultures become larger, they develop ever more extensive legal codes (which are just the formal way of expressing moral codes). Primitive cultures have fairly simple, if stringent codes. Feudal societies have a bit more. And nation-states have more still. The richer you are, the more morality (at least in terms of quantity) you can afford. As for moral quality, that may be a different issue-- not sure. Although I do suspect that quality of moral sentiment is something the rich tend to enjoy more often than the less fortunate.

Put it this way: anything that you don't do while you're alive will be administered by the state government, and so taking care of if while you're still around is the best way to handle it. We've got four dogs and have a legal document drawn up for who gets them if we both die - as well as a financial stipend for their care.

It does happen. It happens most often on ';VIP'; buses that get sold to backpackers and western travellers. They load the bags in the cargo hold, and then someone sneaks underneath and goes through the people's bags.
It's easily avoided though, just do this:
- DONT travel on Tourist buses. If you want to catch a bus, go to the BUS STATION and buy your ticket. DONT buy it from a travel agent. This way you'll be travelling on the buses that the Thai people travel on, which are far safer and often more comfortable.
- DONT put anything valuable in your bag. It's common sense but Ive heard heaps of stories of people who have had expensive camera stolen from their bags in the cargo hold. It's simple, if you havent got anything worth stealing in your bag they wont steal from you. Take your valuables with you on board the bus.
- DONT accept food or drink from other passengers on the bus. It's rare, but sometimes other passengers will offer you food or drink that has been drugged and then when you fall asleep they will rob you on the bus. Just say ';No thanks'; if someone offers you food.

It seemed he changed his mind when he couldn't get away and the crowd started shouting ';Police!'; This was a nice change from the usual way things go.

This visa waiver will cease to exist when Switzerland starts to operate under the provisions of the Schengen Agreement which is planned to start on 12/13 December 2008.
After that date the requirement of a visa is purely based on your passport. Visa waived countries are all EU countries and Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Croatia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Israel, Japan, Liechtenstein, Malaysia, Mexico, Monaco, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, San Marino, Singapore, South Korea, Switzerland, USA, Uruguay, Vatican City, and Venezuela.

Ive tried two different contact lense cases that come with my lenses and theyve both leaked.
One was 2 circular pots joined together with plastic with screw on lids.
The other is a inch high pot with a screw on lid, the lid is attached to a plastic cage that the contact lenses are held in.
Im going to ask my optician when i pick up my next batch but does anyone have any advice?

I travelled between Bristol and Sheffield by train, and Sheffield and London via National Express bus. The hard drive is full of my photos, from 11 months of travelling and its quite upsetting to think that I don't have all those photos with me. I got all my injections. The only ones that I would say to do for sure is get your HepA and HepB shots. its a custom on filipinos where you share glasses of alcohol for comraderie sake. Also, I do not know where you are eating and such so you ';might'; go to a place where there are safe cooking practices. Personally I have never gotten sick eating at any canteen and such so I just use common sense. The other shots are recommended are japanese encephalites (this its totally uncessary) and the Dengeue Fever shot. (another one not needed unless you are gonna go deep in a province..which you are not) And as far as your Malaria goes, just takes the pills if you happen to get it. I never had a problem with mosquitos. Heck, I dont even think I got 1 mosquito bite since I been here.Do I need to have protective injections for travelling to Manila Philippine just in case?

The cities are fine but I remember once I got sick and had to stay in hospital for a week when I visited the Philippines a long time ago. Once I was at the hospital the IV needle broke and I bled out for 3 minutes before someone came to help me. Needless to say it wasn't the best experience haha.

A cruise liner will not wait for a passenger ,They are bound by departure times as well as docking charges and pilot fees.
These charges are in the thousands of pounds region ,and a delay will incur penalty's, so it is up to the passenger to check in on time. .
As for the flight,they had ordered special meals and they should have been delivered , Delays in the flight caused by headwinds could not be foreseen. To be honest I dont fancy the chances of being offered anything more than they have accepted. Once compensation is offered and accepted there is no chance to appeal for more because you have already agreed to a settlement. Sadly, Airtours are known for being unhelpful in cases similar to this. The only advise I can give is not to book with ScareTours again.
Unfortunatly, the problems with the flight delays are not down to Airtours. No one can forsee delays due to strong head winds or delays from an incoming flight. It is very unfortuante that there was so many problems with the flight and this can be taken up with the airline with regards to the meals and the attitude of the staff. As advised the cruise ship has to depart when advsied as they have time slots and can only delay for a short period of time if at all. If you have any questions you can talk to ABTA and ask for their advice as to where to go next if they are still unhappy.

I'm not familiar with Airtours, however, if these people had booked through a travel agent, and if Airtours has a reputation, then the agent might have steered them to a more reliable company. If they did book this through an agent, then they should be on the phone with the agent 3 or more times a day pushing to get a fair compensation.
The passengers would have much more recourse if they had purchased travel insurance. I always recommend my clients purchase travel insurance from a reputable, independent supplier in the US such as Travelex or TravelGuard rather than purchase the insurance from the tour company or cruise line.
There are several excellent reasons for doing this:
- Independent insurance covers all aspects of your trip vs. limited coverage by tour company or cruise line
- More comprehensive coverage at a lower price from independents
- Some tour companies offer compensation in the form of credit on a future trip (and may not be enough for a full trip) instead of a cash compensation.
If they had had travel insurance, your passengers would have been able to file an insurance claim for Trip Delay, Missed Connection, Itinerary Change, and possibly other aspects of the insurance policy.
I strongly recommend travel insurance to all of my clients. If you are spending a nice sum for a well-deserved vacation, spending a little more to assure you are covered for ';vacationi disasters'; is a small price to pay.

Where do you live that Swine Flu is preventing you from going anywhere? Travel in the United States is unrestricted. If you live in the US, the only limits on where you tavel is YOU.

Where do you live that Swine Flu is preventing you from going anywhere? Travel in the United States is unrestricted. If you live in the US, the only limits on where you tavel is YOU.
I don't think that is the answer, I think people that are sick and think they have this flu should stay away from other people, and we should all try to stay as healthy as possible, if everyone does that, then it will stop this thing.
And pray too. It's not at the stage where you have to be terribly worried about it, but you need to be concerned.
Not airplanes, boats, etc. are the cause of flu.

Spanish (for Central and South America), French (for much of Africa), Russian (all of the former republics of the Soviet Union in Europe and Asia), and Arabic (Middle East and North Africa) are four excellent ';travel languages';. Together, I wouldn't doubt if the areas these languages are spoken in covered more than half the earth.
As for why we don't learn other languages, IT'S HARD! Especially since our public school system almost never starts teaching other languages until high school (that's how it is in the United States, anyway). By that point, we are old enough that learning new languages is difficult. i know english and spanish (grew up with it), in school i learned latin which helped with all latin based languages (french, english, spanish, italian, etc.) i'm learning japanese but mostly because of the games. to survive in this world it would be best to study one latin based language (a romance language for example), mandarin chinese and/or japanese one should help with the other (at least in writting the language), and a middle eastern language (arabic, farci, etc). with these you should be well covered.

I am a 23 year old college graduate I hate my job and have a bad case of Wanderlust I NEED to travel and soon
I have a degree in Film Production and have been working as a manager at PetSmart. I hate it there and i feel like i need an adventure
I am going on a trip next summer.
Should i
A. take a vacation to France for a week or two then go back to work.
B. Quit my job, backpack across Europe than when i get back decide what to do with my life/career
C.Quit my job, Travel around the world and try to get as many experiences as i can before i eventually make my way back and go to grad school or start a new career
or D. None of the above, just stay here and deal with it

I agree with embi40. You are at a stage in your life where you can take more risks since you have less responsibilities. Enjoy the freedom and live your life with no regrets. In my opinion having great adventures now will make you more satisfied with settling into marriage and/or career later.
I spent 5 years in a job I disliked for a good portion of that time. I quit and went to work elsewhere for half the money and have never regretted it. (I did not stay at that salary level).

Hey there, I am also 23 and I'm finding it hard to decide what to do with my life too. You are lucky that you have the money to travel. I spent about two years jumping from one job to the next and am just beginning to experience REAL WORK. It think it's best that we explore while we are still young.
I say A. Take a vacation this year and come back and start focusing on what you want to do. Backpacking across Europe sounds great but it takes money as does coming back and restarting your life. Quitting your job at the moment may not be the most realistic thing to do. You have a college degree try finding jobs in your field, maybe some that will allow you to travel and see new places.
Each one of your answers will have a different impact and different consequence on your life. Only you can decide what you are willing to deal with after you've made your decision but as someone twice your age I can tell you this- do something with your life you enjoy. Time goes by quickly and if you are wasting it in a job you hate and feel like the joy is being sucked out of your life then CHANGE IT! Making major changes in your life only gets more difficult as you get older. Imagine trying to make this decision when you have a mortgage and kids and bills galore. Whatever you decide to do, put your heart into it and get whatever you can out of the experience.

Like I said, I've felt almost the exact same way only managing a Harkins Theatres (the pay sucks). Then I found another way out. Now I am able to travel, work while traveling, have fun while traveling, and do as much traveling as I want because it is virtually free! I have included a website below. Oh man I feel the same way and I'm only in my 2nd year. I was thinking of moving to Guam or something, to get away from all this ignorance in America. Could you move somewhere for a while and just enjoy the ocean? My choice would be C. It all depends on how important other things are in your life. If you would like to be wealthy later on, maybe dealing with it for a while would be the best thing to get your finances in order, then going for it.
